A colleague of my father keeps his ferrari in one of those. They work very well, but not something you want to take your car in/out of very often, its a pain. For storage, they are fantastic (if you get models with exaust fans, and filtered intake fans.

I've seen these advertised before and my uncle was looking into buying one once. I don't think you'd want to leave it outside.

yeah, i assume it would be best inside...
but i am running out of garage space!!
(put a deposit on an r8, and already have two cars outside and another in an offsite garage!- i was thinking about the capsule for offsite garage storage)

He basically decided for the price they were asking he didn't need it that badly. He stores his car for the winter in his garage and has never had any issues with musty smells. So, he really didn't feel he needed to spend the money on it.

Back to the topic, the one you have in the pic above is an INDOOR cover. Outdoor covers are usually silver (to reflect sunlight) and are thicker). The clear ones are for the car to be kept inside your garage.

Wanabe,

Those prices look to be a little better than this website car capsule

I looked into getting one since I store my car in my 2 1/2 car garage and the S sits in the 1/2 part. I was going to utilize the car capsule during the 4 months that I store it, but was worried that this would hit the underside of my stairs and cause a problem. The corvette shop right by my house uses 1 of these and they work very well. The fan & filter is pretty quiet and keeps the air fresh. Also, if you put your car in wet, this does a great job of drying it w/o any water marks.
