so this stuff is safe for all underhood materials (plastic, metal, etc.) and components?
Yup! Just keep in mind that this product is purely a protectant. In order to get your best result you'll need to clean the engine bay first.

Excellent. Thanks for the info. I've never seen this product around my area, so it's all new to me.

I ordered a couple cans of the CD2 but could not locate the Meguiar's product, this is as close as I came. Is it the same product?

Pruhnke, that Meguiar's product that you ordered is different from the one I use. They definitely sell what I use (Safe D-Greaser) at Autogeek, because I'm pretty sure I bought mine there.

I don't have any experience with the Super Degreaser, but my understanding is that it's a good cleaner just stronger than Safe D-Greaser.

CD2 is exactly what you're looking for then! If you can't get your hands on a can of CD2 a good second choice is Meguiar's Hyper Dressing.

for CD-2 Engine Detailer (and Meguiar's Safe D-Greaser)

Before...

And after...

I'll touch up the few spots I missed during routine maintenance.

I'm having a hard time sourcing either one of these products. I can't find CD2 anywhere on detailcity. Can anyone help me out?

My corner Drug Mart store carries the stuff. I have a few cans.

Thinking of ordering some, how much of a can do you use per engine? Wondering if I should order a couple cans or a case. Thanks
