Chip repair
Hey wash and wax gurus,
I have a dilemma, when I purchased the car used a few months back, I didn't notice until I washed the car that there were some deep scratches on the trunk of the car. As you can see, the cut looks pretty deep and the previous owner didn't do a good job w/ the touch up paint. I've gone through the DIY guides for chip repair but I want to be sure if my case still applies. I plan on purchasing a porter cable for polishing/waxing but I also do not want to do anymore damage to the chips. Any suggestions of how to approach this problem and any precautions that should be taken when using a PC? TIA

wow, those are strange looking!!
the chip repair post has ideas that should work for you. read it and post back questions.
the pc should not make this worse, if that is what you are asking about the pc...

The previous owner believes a shopping cart was hit or something. I will look into the chip repair post and see what I can do. I was worried about the PC making the chip spread even more when I try to polish.
