Chips from rock
I have had my S for 1 week and was out driving with a friend and had a semi rig hauling rocks and sand drop a present on my hood causing two chips. I did a search on the forums (as I am new to this type of repair) and found some good info but had a couple of questions:
First, I am concerned about the wet sanding. one member cautions that this can only be done once. Should someone with no body repair experience attempt this?
Second, I am unsure as to whether I should use Langka as it has mixed reviews. Has anyone used this with sebring silver? If so, what were the results? (yes, i did a search on this too but only one member with the same color posted who I have PMed in hopes of more info)

you could attempt the repair, imo...
the reason that i suggest this is if you dont you will be taking the car to the body shop.
worst case if you do it yourself is that you will be taking the car to the body shop!! and plenty of chance you wont need to do that cause it will work.

langka does have mixed reviews, and if you want to try it give it a very small area to test on... if it works you might be able to keep from all of the work in the link above- and if not, you will be right back to that link.

The alternative is to find a skilled detailer in your area that does this type of work. You may want to read up on the Autopia forums (www.autopia.org) to see if there are any folks in your area that post over there. Most of the pros over there are at the top of the profession, if you ask me.
I'm probably the member that warned that wet sanding could only be done once. I was talking more about wet sanding the whole hood in that thread. If you are just filling to small chips it shouldn't be a big deal. For spot sanding i use sand paper on the back of a pencil eraser.
