i use several...
and dont have a preference of one over the others.
just make sure that you get enough to split (if you drop it trash it- which is one reason to split it).

lotsa web vendors listed above to help you out if web shopping is o.k. with you.

I like clay magic the most.
Zaino was good. Mothers wasn't all that good.
Whatever you do, NEVER get pinnacle clay bar.

also if you have an old sheet or something place it under your work area - this way if you drop the bar you can still use it

I use the Zaino clay bar. You get two little clay bars in each package, and I can usually get 2-3 'clayings' out of one of the bars.

Meguiar's recently changed their clay bar. I used it this last weekend @ Meguiar's detail day and I liked it. They have 3 different grades now. The clay bar does not break down like some others. Quality product, comes in a nice jar.

Clay Magic always has good clay bars. Nice bang for your buck.

I am currently using the Blackfire Clay bar. I like it a lot. Easy to use and comes in a case. The main reason why I ordered this one is because I was ordering from properautocare.com (they didn't have many other selections for a decent price) and it came with a package I liked.

I tried the Mother's clay bar and it is crap. After awhile it would break apart and stick to your hands. I would never try this again.

I've never tried the Zaino clay bar but I've read not too favorable reviews on it. I've read it's an okay bar but it's not worth the extra price tag.

I've checked out my friend's 3M clay bar and it looked like a quality bar. My friend seems to like it a lot (I trust his opinion).

There are several good clay bars out there, if I were to get one, I'd get one that comes in a nice container and had a good price.

Did you know that they sell an velcro backed attachment to use the clay bar with the polisher?
That might just take out some of the frustration of uaing clay bars.
But again, it's kinda hard to "feel" the spot with a machine.

I've seen that pig but I don't think a clay bar is tough at all. Rather easy and I like feeling the results like you stated.
