Default cleaning soft top

Hey guys, this is my first convertible and I have no idea how I should go about in cleaning the soft top. Is there a special soap I need to use and a brush? or sponge? any help would be very helpful... and also how would I go about cleaning the bottom of the soft top??

most times you can simply use your wash mitt when washing your car . but if your top is really dirty you can use a soft brush - don't forget to finish with 303 for sunscreen protection on your top

btw our tops are made out of vinyl

blue03s2k-
if your top is either dirty or has wear spots, a brush is a good idea... if not, then (as bass said) your wash mitt and car shampoo will do the trick.
i use car shampoo for our tops, but you can use a top cleaner (several out there) for vinyl tops.
and as mentioned above, after the top is dry be sure to apply either 303 or vinylex (spray it onto a rag away from the car and rub it into the top- i let it sit while i do the rest of the car; then buff it off- i buff it twice with two separate rags to make sure that i get all excess product off).

blue03s2k,
Another great product out there is Raggtop. I used 303 for a while and it is a good product, but personally I perfer Raggtop. It contains no silicone which is very harmful to the paint and it won't run like 303 is known to do. It also restores the look of a brandnew top. They sell both the Cleaner & Protectant.

I live in Sterling. Work out in Chantilly. Spend a lot of time in South Riding & Vienna.

Awesome. I live in Reston. I just got my S2000 about 6 weeks ago and washed it and waxed it for the first time yesterday. Are either of you planning on going to the Evolution meet in Chantilly in July?

Congrats on the new ride jnn4v! I really want to go to the Evo meet on the 10th, but I am in a wedding that day so I don't think I will make it.
Have you tried Zaino yet? If you haven't you should give it a shot. I feel like the new unofficial spokesperson for them!
