Im going out on a limb here, but I bet your detailing perspective has something to do with the (to the trained eye) terrible shape of show car paint conditions. I was at a Porsche dealer the other day just looking around because, well...it's a Porsche dealer, and there was a used Ferrari F430 there with terrible buffer trails, holograms, etc. which absolutely infuriates me. Although that was a dealer, where mint paint jobs and spotless cars aren't *AS* important as they are at a show, I still find it inexcusable, especially on an exotic.

well said matt.

found it sick to see some cars looking horrible. while i epxect that from certain less costly cars, it seems the lamborghini's were well taken care of (though can't get too close), while the bugatti veyron looked horrible

also doesn't make sense the the SLR Mclaren to be in such bad shape as well
