Default Convertible Top Material?

I see discussions on this forum and others about the convertible top and its care and feeding. When people talk of the Raggtop protectant, they always specify the "vinyl protectant". Are these tops actually vinyl or made from a vinyl material?

Mine looks more like a tightly woven fabric and I'm pretty sure it is the stock top.

Thx

yes, we are positive that the tops are all vinyl on all years of the s2000-

appropriate products are vinylex, 303, and the raggtopp for vinyl that you suggested

do not use the fabric raggtopp on a vinyl top- and i have to tell you that the fabric product is a real pia (on fabric tops) to use (gotta mask the paint)- but again, dont use it on a vinyl top

Bahhhhh... I called and changed my order, after it already shipped. Autogeek's customer service (Also does Wolfgang custom service, and a bunch of others I guess too) was AMAZING. It was the same girl both days I called (Monique (spelling?)) and she was extremely helpful. I placed an order on Autogeek, and one on Wolfgang, and ended up canceling my wolfgang, and changing my autogeek, and she did everything for me. I called today and changed from the Fabric to Vinyl, after it shipped so I gotta send the fabric back. Do you still recommend taping off the paint with the Vinyl too? I think it's the Aerosol ones.

I use 303 and apply it the way Ubetit suggests

303 is also a pump spray

its all in the application...

you gotta let it sit for awhile, then buff it really well- rub it into the vinyl until it is all rubbed in. then take a clean cloth and rub it one more time.
at that point its protected and no excess to run off...
