Thumbs up Convertible top tear.

I have gotten a 1 cm horizontal tear in my convertible top. Are there any ways to fix it. The top is 5 yrs old.

There is patch material that can be applied to the inside.

The top is a P.O.S. My rips are soo bad that I'm considering selling the S and getting a different Sports Car. It's such a shame because those tears aren't really anything that you can control unless you put patches on before they form.

My top is also approaching 5 years old. It is still in perfect condition.

ps. Believe it or not, this question can be dealt with better in "Wash and Wax" as it is also to do with cosmetic repair. I'll move this over there now but leave a link here.

good info in this thread:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...7403&hl=top+rip

mine is an '00 and still looks like new- maybe it depends on how often the top is raised and lowered?
good luck, and dont give up the car for this problem!

I had mine replaced recently, with Honda picking up 75%, because of the well documented holes behind the windows.

I had no relationship with the dealership, 66k miles, 3rd owner, no extended warranty.

Here's my thread

hope it helps

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I would not have even thought of calling Honda Care.
