Correct prep for paint chip touchup?
Got a few very small paint chips. Most are very, very small. All chips are on the front bumper. I just ordered the Autovisual touch up pen and clearcoat pen. I also have some Honda touchup paint. Car is Gran Prix White.
Question 1 is --- I have 4 coats of Zaino on, 3 of Z2 and 1 of Z5 (am in the process of layering), what is the correct way to strip it off before paint touchup? Dawn and then 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)?
Question 2 is --- Light scratch, in clearcoat can just barely feel it with my hand. Came from the "CAT" (currently a fugitive at large). What is the reccomended product to remove it.
I am to new to this, to sand anything.
Thanks

I got a rock chip in my front bumper, about 1mm x 2mm all the way down to the black plastic. I did use a light touch of touchup paint, but the spot simply won't match at all due to the dark plastic underneath.
I know the cars come to the dealer every so often with minor paint chips and the dealers manage to do a great job touching them up. I wonder really how they do it.
