i wanna start using zaino on my car.. but i know there is a layer of wax on it from when i bought it.. i heard u need to wash the car with dawn to remove old wax before priming the car with zfx.. how do u go about using dawn on your car? im afraid it might hurt the paint if i rub with a sponge.. any comments??

I use a 100% cotton chenille wash mitt by Viking (also has the cotton logo on the package) whenever I wash the car with Z-7 or that initial, one-time Dawn wash.

I use three or four capfuls in my 3-gallon bucket, but there's really no "right" amount.

I wondered about this -- There's now "Concentrated Dawn" and "Fast Acting Dawn", and I wondered how the numbers would change because of them?

I imagine anything that is sudsy and not "dawn with a little bit of water" is fine, but figured I'd ask...

Original Blue Dawn. The other Dawns seem to be milder and have additives to treat your hands (marketing stuff, I guess). The original Blue Dawn is the one.
