Default The design of the interior

I've noticed that the interior of the S2000 seems to be easy to clean. There are a lot lof broad, flat surfaces inside that are very accessible. Do you think the engineers of the car made the interior of this car so that it would be easy to wipe down?

I think Hondas in general tend to be simple.

It's like this - "upscale" and "luxury" usually are associated with "complexity" and complexity is hard to clean. I have a set of leather sofas ($1,000) that I can wipe down with a lightly damp towel in about five minutes. My parents have a seat of leather seating in mahogany frames ($7,000) that require leather treatment, wood treatment all around the base and back, and weekly dusting in order to look decent. That's just how it's always been, even for cars.

Hondas in general tend to be pretty simplistic. Moreover, the S2000 in particular is such a tiny car that cleaning it is quick and easy. I like how I can do a complete detail of the car in so little time. My Prelude took twice as long just due to the size. I can't imagine what a nice hand-detailing would take on a midsize SUV. Yikes.

That's for sure, especially for such a small car. I'm so glad I can do the seats and all the plastic behind them with the top down.
