Detail Shop Needed
I got a brand new black s2k and along came with swirls. I noticed the dealership washes their brand new car in a bristled car wash... very unhappy with the delivery.
After I complained, the dealship sent my car to the body shop, and tried repairing minor scratches. After it came back, the car's swirls looked the same, and the scratches looked, a little better... But, get this. NEW scratches appeared on the car. So The dealership took the car in 4 times to get all the scratches resolved, but now one of the bumper side lost it's gloss!! WTF! I've signed the papers a month ago, and only drove the car for 2 weeks!
I'm pissed at this point. I told them, I'll find a detailer to repair this, and I expect the dealership to pay for the cost. The GM agreed.
So my current quest is to find the best detailer shop that can repair all the damages the dealership caused on my car in my area. Anyone have any good referrals?
I'm in the Ventura county area. I prefer staying in this area, to avoid freeway driving until I get my clear bra on.
Thank you!

You might want to try posting up in your local forum and on Autopia.org. A lot of the people that post in the W&W forum are likely not local to you. So, they wouldn't know any detailers in your area. Posting in multiple places will increase your chances for success.
Anyway, I'm sure Wanabe will be posting any moment now encouraging you to do the work yourself.

best way is to do it yourself...
second best is to post this up in the so calif forum- coupla members there who can help you out- you have to post up and ask them to pm you cause they can not post on the board prices or other info (selling is prohibited)

hmmm. i'm half way to the 30 mark.
I spoke with a detailer today, and he told me, that the paint on the back bumper was not properly taken care of. Detailing the back bumper will not fix the issue. He advised me to have the dealership repaint the back.
Well, I guess my car's going back to the dealership...

I think you need to slow down. Part of your problem is that you don't have your head on straight because you are so upset about the condition of your car.
A simple problem of swirls which could have been corrected by a good detailing seems to have been made worse by the idiocy of your dealer.
First, you need to get multiple opinions and get educated so that you know exactly what is the problem with your car and how to fix it. Running back to the dealer because one guy said "such and such is the problem" will likely only result in more damage. Second, don't let the dealer touch your car again. Once you've educated yourself and discovered what needs to be done find and research a reputable shop which will make the repair whether that is a detailer or a body shop. Don't take someone's opinion on what shops are good. Do your own homework and go there to see what their work is like. Talk to the shop owner to see what his attitude is. Otherwise, your car will only get worse.

MikeyC - You are absolutely correct. I've been pretty overwhelmed with this whole ordeal. I've been working alot, and trying to juggle getting my car situated. It's pretty tough to get opnions, when majority of the shops are opened during business hours only, therefor my only reference is this forum or by referrals.
I may have to line up a good amount of bodyshop appointments and take a day off. =)
