Default Detailed: 2006 BB S2000

Hello again! This weekend I met up with a fellow s2ki member, icoaraci, and made his car nice and shiny! Started at 8 am ish and finished around 5 pm using a Portercable 7424, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, Menzerna Nano Polish PO 106 FA, Einszett Glans, Orange CCS Pas, Red CCS pad, and Blue CCS pad.

Steps included, two bucket wash method, claybar, wash again, polishing and wax.

While I was polishing his car, he helped out by polishing his rims and exhaust tips.

I'm still not so great in capturing pictures of the defects and 50/50 but you can still see how the car was and how it is now.

Couldn't take many after pictures because he had to leave. Overall I think it was a pretty good day.

C&C welcome!

good work! looks like a good transformation, but just wondering what you went to after the SIP+orange, since you didn't list a white pad....didn't the SIP leave anything that needed further polishing with a polishing pad?

It has almost as bad of swirls as my paint. Mines gotta be detailed during Spring Break. How many hours did it take you?

After the SIP + orange I went to the blue pad with the Nano Polish. It took me around 9 hours but only took that long because we were having conversations about the s2000s and future mods as I was working. It made for a fun day but prolonged it.

Thanks for all the comments guys! Some of the pictures didn't turn out great because my girlfriend wanted to help take pictures but either underexposed, over exposed them or didn't focus it.

nice work and all with a PC at that. even if it took a little longer - it was probably worth it to have enjoyable company. i hope the owner takes more pics soon and posts them up because that S is looking QUITE nice!
