Default detailing wheels

I finally got my swissvax wheel wax and gave it a try on my volk ce28ns. The wax works and looks amazing. The wheels look better then they did new. I even took the car for a hard drive afterwards and the wheels still looked the same, no brake dust. My question is, do you guys dry your wheels after you wash them or do you let them air dry. I Washed and detailed the whole car then went inside for a little while to let the rims and tires dry. When I came back out to put adams tire shine on and swissvax wheel wax there was quite a bit of water spots on the wheels. After applying the wax most of them went away, but not all of them. I need to get some pictures up so you guys can see how good the wheels look.

I dry the wheels both after washing them directly and after washing the car. We have hard water here, and I'm concerned about spotting.

Depends - Wheel washed on the car air dries. Wheel washed off the car gets wiped.

I usually drive the car around the block after a wash to help get water out of hidden areas, such as mirror housings and taillights. This typically knocks most of the water off the wheels, and drying them completely is much easier.

I typically will allow them to soak in wash (P21 Wheel Gel or Zaino Wash) and allow it time to do its job, then dry with a designated wheel rag (Big Microfiber!) and then apply wax.
