Default Does unopened wax go bad?

I wanted to give S100 a try before spending more on a carnauba wax, so stopped in a Harley Davidson store today to pick up a tub. What looked to be a date was stamped on the containers, and it was from '05. Is there any cause for concern with 2-year old wax on the shelf? Or is the original seal on the container sufficient for much longer than even that?

Once opened, what is the accepted usable life of a container?

Thanks,
Phil

As long as it is sealed and protected from freezing/melting, then it is okay. I keep my high end waxes in the fridge. I've seen 15 year old wax that was still fine. I have so many that most of mine make it about 4-6 years.

As long as the container has the lid has not been left off for long periods or the wax has been exposed to extreme temperatures, it should be fine.
