Default DOOR DING

Hey,

Let me start by stating that I never park my S2K anywhere near other vehicles and I always keep my car meticulously clean.

Just yesterday, I toiled for six hours detailing the entire car and the results of my endeavor was absolutely sensational.

Come today, Monday May 22, 2006

An unsightly passenger side door ding blemish!

Damn

Fortunately, the door ding did not chip or mark the Rio Yellow paint.

Just a slight indentation.

The indentation is very smooth with no creases.

Just goes to show that no matter how careful one can be things happen.

Any suggestions on how I can remove the door ding

Where was the car parked? Can you remove your door panel and push the dent out? I'd probably just go to a Dent removal place.

Paintless dent repair can work wonders.

Google it.

(Try Ding King, or something similar.)

This happened to mine several months ago. Like you, I am always careful where I park it. Unfortunately, while driving my other car, I parked to close to my S. When I opened my driver's door, a gust of wind pulled it out of my hand and into the passenger side door of my S . It put a dime size dent into my door panel .

As luck would have it, I was at a local car dealership and noticed a paintless dent service repairing some new cars that had lot damage. I asked the guy for his card and called him later that day. He showed up at my office and fixed the dent. It is actually fascinating to watch the guy in action. The results were incredible!

If I were you, I would contact a dealership you trust and ask who does their paintless dent removal. It was well worth the money!

For some reason my car is a magnet for dings.

1st ding - My wedding day, parked nowhere near anyone. i walked out and there were 3 2" or bigger dings on the passenger side. It looked like someone ploughed into the fender with their door, thus dinging it in 3 places. One actually looks like it creased the metal

2nd ding - Driver's side door

3rd ding - Passenger side mirror.

I'm also very meticulous with my car and won't park it just anywhere, but it still seems to be a ding magnet.

Oh, and also hail damage from when I got caught in a bad thunderstorm (4 - 5 dime sized dings on the hood and trunk).

Bad last few months...

Damn...

A wedding day ding...

I can only hope that despite the damage to your car on your wedding day...

Remembrance of your Nuptials will always bring a smile to you and yours...

Best Regards,

Wiley

Yeah, I didn't let it ruin my day. It actually brought things into perspective (like how minimal car dings are). But none the less it is still frustrating to get so many dings in one shot! lol

Yup. Paintless dent removal is the way to go. I've had a couple of dings removed myself and you can't even tell anything was ever there. Don't try to do it yourself as you may end up with a pimple on your door instead of a dent. PDR is really an art form much like detailing, but requires a lot more experience and training to do right.
