Default Engine Detailing

Does any one know of a good Engine Detailer near Fullerton? I would like to get my engine cleaned by a professional.

Thanks in advanced,

regional forum would probably be better able to point you in the right direction, but not to leave you high and dry: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,1.783905&z=10

Do it yourself budd, the money some peeps charge for a engine detail is just crazy and it's really not hard at all, I do my own detailing from paint to engine. I think I do a better job then most pros. Here's a pic of my before and after engine detail. I used Gunk products, fyi enjoy. P.S - If you were a local guy, I would show you just how easy it really is to achieve professional results just by DIY

I can't find CD2 locally, but I think I've seen this.

I did the CD2 stuff recently as well. Engine bay looked awesome afterwards! Pressure washed it first, then sprayed some high strength degreaser stuff all over it, scrubbed it for a while and then hosed it down again. Let it mostly dry and then sprayed everything with the CD2 and let it run for a bit to dry that up and looks awesome! There is a thread on it around somewhere.

S2KLR4, cleaning your engine bay is not as challenging and difficult as it might seem, though I was terrified when I first did mine. There have been several good threads on the subject. Here are two of my favorites:

Bass's Engline Cleaning Guide

Karl's Engine Cleaning Guide

Also check out the appropriate chapter in MikeyC's S2000 detailing book.

I use Megs' APC+ to clean the engine. There are some all purpose cleaners that I've read should be avoided, e.g., Simple Green or Purple Power, because of their potential to stain. I do not have any experience with the Gunk degreasers. Do some research. Meguiar's has also just released a consumer product called Engine Cleaner. I imagine you could find it at the local Advance Auto.

I too have having been using CD2 as my engine bay dressing and am pleased with it. Other folks like to use Megs' HyperDressing, Stoner Trim Shine, 303 Protectant, and Pig Spit.

Good luck.

Good luck.
Do people typically apply 303 to the entire engine bay or only the rubber and plastic?
