Default Exhaust Tips

Subject pretty much says it all, what do you use to clean the exhaust tips? Mine where a little dingy from road spray and decided to clean, but soap and water just dulled them.
Any tips?
Thanks!

Hmmm, I give them a good hose off to loosen any grit or particulates and then wash them the same way as the alloys. To get the high luster shine I use a liquid polish (Zymol) on a cotton cloth to polish & buff them. Brings them up better than new....

Quick way to clean them is use a rim cleaner on them. I use Eagle One A to Z myself. Works great, doesnt hurt anything!

If none of the above work, try using Wenol metal polish, it will work guaranteed. It can also be used to polish various metal parts such as the engine to an almost chrome finish.. don't ask me how I know..

NEVRDULL - Comes in a can stuffed with some kind of cotton gauze material soaked in metal polish. Tear off a hunk and rub it all over the tip. Wipe off with rag. So easy.

I use a product called Autosol. Works an absolute treat on exhaust tips - even if you have never cleaned them before. It comes in a tube (just like toothpaste), and lasts for ages.

Always use caution when cleaning the exhaust tips. They can bite something awful.

Xviper - I've seen what he means, when cleaning around the inside edge of the chrome finisher the inner steel pipe can cut into your thumb - ask UKJasonM
