Hi People, my soft top looks like it`s been water proofed has some white marks on it.. what is the best stuff on the market to make it black again ??

 

I have been using autoglym hood cleaning kit (ebay link here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autoglym-C...item20de41fe1f) it restores colour quite well, however it doesnt seem to last as long as others out there but is reasonably priced.

Other than that I have heard Raggtop and Renovo are pretty good; however I have used neither so cant vouch for them.

 

Hi Bruceski, Have just got autoglym roof kit to use, did read about Renovo but its a dye based paint on and would want to see it done on a car first dont want it looking like black gross paint. ill let you know how it goes. Ta.

 

Is your top the OEM one?
If yes, it's Vinyl so you can't use Renovo soft top reviver on your top.
99% of the time, a faded soft top is a dirty soft top.

You need to deep clean it and water proof it and your soft top will be perfect.

Here's mine, 14 years old OEM soft top, I care it with Renovo Vinyl products twice a year.

I've used raggtopp and it works good. You might want to check autogeek.net they carry top of the line car care products you can't get in a auto parts store.

 

Get the RaggTop cleaner and vinyl top protectant. Use a soft brush to deep clean the top, let it dry completely and apply 2 thin coats of the protectant. Use a microfiber cloth to apply. Mask off the windows. Used it on my 00 and 04 and the top looked new after applying.
