Finish on wheels
As I was taking my wheels off to paint my calipers, I noticed a scratch in the finish one one of them. It was not into the metal at all, only the coating on the outside. I'm really confused as to how it happened, as it is on the inner part, right around the center of the wheel. The more important question is, what can I do about it? I'll try to get a picture of it tonight or tomorrow.
the wheels have a clear coat similar to the body... but, i understand a thinner application
i would first try something like :

if that doesnt work, then i would try the 3m swirl remover.
i would not get too aggressive with either... you dont want to make it worse!!

I've heard that is good, except it's a spot on my wheels where the finish looks like it blistered away, so it's more like a big rip in that ultra thin layer above the wheel. I don't know how something could have torn through so exactly without messing up the metal. Hopefully a picture will make more sense.
