The Finishing Touch
If everything goes right, next week is the week I'll Zaino my b/b. Not sure how many layers I'll get done but I'm shooting for at least 3 if not more. Time permitting, and depending on the outcome of the Zaino-ing, I may try a layer of Gold Class on top. I want that wet, shimmering look. Obviously a black car is next to impossible to keep clean but I'm willing to put in some time to keep it up. If Zaino will do the restoring I'm told it will, the protecting I'm told it will, provide an amazing shine that I'm told it will. Topping it off with some carnuba is a sinch. You do that anyway every month. My only concern is doing the initial Zaino process correctly. Taking my time, which I've alloted all of next week (vacation!), and using very small amounts of the stuff. I've even ordered and received 100% USA cotton towels for the occassion per another thread (Cannon). Already cut the seams off and washed in a mild liquid detergent twice, dried with no softer. I'm ready to go. Hopefully by next weekend I'll have some pictures to post. I'm no photographer but we have a decent Nikon digital. Thanks for your postings on this. It's a key concern of mine (getting and keeping the car looking beyond showroom).
Judging from the deep reflective quailities of the pics looks like your system works amazingly well. I bet if you had a better camera it would be even more so. Think the colors are a tad off too. I'm sure your car is redder than it appears in these pics. The best digital I've seen (not that I've seen many) is a Sony with the Carl Zeiss (spelling?) lense. My wife has a small Nikon. Does a great job but if the family is around and we compare pics later, you can tell who took what. Anyway, back to the subject...GREAT JOB!!!

>>>Unless you have a dark colored car, then you won't gain much by topping the Zaino off with carnauba wax. But, if you do have a dark colored car, then you can really see the difference. It's hard to put into words and picures don't really do it justice either. The finish is much better looking with more depth and a rich shine that it didn't have before.<<<
Isn't silver a light color? The Guru Reports guys applied P21S / S100 to a car and said that it "glowed". I'll have to find the quote but they supposedly used a silver test panel. Oops here it is: "A silver BMW was the test mule, and the results were breathaking. Ever seen a silver car glow? We hadn't, until we applied the P21S. Silver is fairly low maintenance - it seems to always look good, no matter what you do to it. However, the P21S changed all of that - it made the car look incredible, like no other product ever has."
BTW it outclassed the Pinnacle Sovereign many enjoy.
Here's another quote: "Show car owners, take note - this product will definitely bump you up a few notches in the Concours competition.."

I think that I can show you what I meant by a "clinical shine". Take a look at Reedz's car, then take a look at the one from Australia several posts down. It's Aussie_ITR-0239.

I have used a randon orbital polisher after wiping on and off my Z6 gloss spray an dto me, it seemed like the shine deepened. did i just convince myself of this, im not sure - but it did look "wetter" than just spraying and wiping. It was a black car also. i just used a wool pad and went over the car when all was done . . . no comparative pics though . ..
Im also trying out some sample finish first stuff i picked up this weekend at a car show . . . i did the glass cleaner and thought it was very good . .no streaks, removed the dirt etc, and shined (cleaned) like crazy - and i hate doing glass.
ill be trying their spray shine soon . . . after a long talk with the master distributor . . .
there are lots of reports of folks doing a wax layer over their polymer base - getting that durabilty and a wetter look they want... i have a hard time telling the difference, mostly because its never a side by side to see the diff . .on the same car in the same light from the same eye and angle etc . . but it you think it looks better, and you liek the look - do it.
i hope to actually do one of those tests on a new daily driver i picked up the other day - its an Aurora with a colour changing paint - green to purple - very interesting to say the least - should show well when all done . .
