Default First time with Raggtop

Bought my car 2 weeks ago (detailed by dealer)...Today it got it's first bath...Went relatively smooth (nice cleaning such a small car)...I used stanard meguiars line soap, microfiber mit, all the good stuff...

I didn't use soap on the soft top...Not sure if that's ok for it??? I used RaggTop cleaner and rubbed it in with a brush...I then rinsed that out entirely and finished it with raggtop protectant...

This was a bit difficult...I've read that other members spray it onto a microfiber towel and apply, to avoid overspray and getting it on windows, paint, plastic...So I tried this method...It went ok although it's hard to tell how "evenly" you're applying it...And I felt like I wasted a ton of my spray on that towel...It needed to be sprayed continulously (perhaps roof was that dry and needed help?)

Lastly...One portion of the roof about 1x1 was sooooooooo rough and felt like absolute shit...Both to the touch and to the towel (towel with applicant was literraly sticking to it because it was so rough)...Any reccomendations for something like that? Or is that just a 2005 S2000 top acting like a 2005 s2000 top?

Thanks guys

Standard car wash soap is fine for the top. I use Raggtopp's cleaner though. Never had difficulty applying it. Not sure what you mean by the rough texture as I haven't experienced it myself but I doubt that Raggtopp will fix it.

USe a little foam or terry applicator pad to apply the raggtopp and then put that applicator in a baggie It'll keep for a month like that before you need to waash it. You won't waste much that way.

I second the foam. It works great and I'm able to use he raggtop sparingly.
