just detailed my car this morning-
but the difference was my 14 year old daughter decided to help.
she brought along her fav red hot chili peppers cd and we blasted the neighborhood at 6:30 in the morning!
spent an hour on interior- she vacuumed like no car has been vacuumed before! she even figured out the vent attachments and got under the seats without removing them. no dust or lint anywhere.
then 2 hours on exterior and under-hood...
finally a drive together and a few photos- they didnt turn out very well, but the detail sure did- this car didnt look like it does now on the day it was new!!!
3 hours of true quality time together- and an incredible detail job too... hard to beat!

thx simon-
she started helping me when she was young, but then stopped for the past several years. in the beginning she would just hang out and watch- maybe hand me things... but yesterday she was completely involved!
probably a good skill for her to have as a teenager- she could make some spending money detailing cars!
montoya prob has a couple of years until you will have a helper-

I lived in the marina for 5 years. Just where is it they enjoy hearing music at 6:30am on a Saturday morning?

Cost to do a car detail=$20
Amount of time to get the job done=3 hours
Spending time with your precious daughter=priceless

yup, very well put rotorooter!!

and it really is neat to be able to apply p21s to one area while someone is removing it from the area that you just finished applying it to... incredible how quickly a wax job goes with two people (even by hand).

The only meet I've been to was the super bowl sunday group drive from the valley to the coast back in 2002. I think I've seen your car from time to time when I venture into MDR. I lived on Tahiti Way from 1991 to 97.

Great story wanabe.

My daughter's only 3, but she ALWAYS helps me wash the car. Usually gets distracted all too easily, and ends up playing with the water. But it's times like these I'll always remember and cherish.
