Default Greddy ti-c titanium tip issue

So i bought a Greddy Ti-c with titanium tips and the previous owner said that he had washed it when it was hot with some cleaner and it discolored it and i thought that it would be an easy clean. i was wrong. Ive read all through the forums and nothing has worked. they cleaned up a little bit but the white has stayed. the rest of the exhaust looks great and cleaned up easy with some neverdull.

On to pictures...

when i picked it up

just from neverdull

on the car, not how i want it to look.

took them off the other night and used neverdull and then sos pads and got the road grime and stuff off and got the surface smooth but still looks like crap. Tonight i took them back off and used mothers metal polish with medium and fine steel wool as suggested on the site.

Im out of ideas and honestly if greddy still sold the tips on their website, id most likely buy new ones being that im so frustrated with them.

Any help would be appreciated

I know the more you polish them the more burnt finish will come off of them, so you are kind of stuck between getting the markings cleaned up and losing the burnt tip look , though you can always re-burn them if you are up to it.

Polish it all the way out to a nice luster and then re torch them to your desired color. Did it with my faded arc shift knob.

What would be a good way to polish them all the way out? is there any kind of shop that would be able to make them look new again?

i have no idea why, unless the diameter is different. if the holes are in different locations, i'd assume you could drill them out yourself.

I still have this problem. I dont know if the product im using isnt strong enough to cut it or if im going to need to use like a orbital polisher or something similar. Id polish the blue out at this point it wouldnt bother me much to lose that. thanks

I would use a rotary with 3" Heavy cut pad at mid-high speed with some horrible and harsh Turtle Wax red compound, followed by Meg's 105, 205 and finally wax of your choice.

I gave up on my exhaust as it looks like yours only after a week of spirited driving. Probably test-pipe and Supercharger doesn't help.

Titanium is an extremely hard metal to polish. It will take you forever to do this by hand. Some sort of rotary polish is your best bet.
