Heading To Lowe's Tomorrow
folex- i think that simon's comments are based on his preference to use the machine for polishing tasks- it excels for those purposes!
some of us also use it to apply and remove wax or synthetics...
since i am one of those, i will give you some ideas:
first a great place for pad info:
http://www.properautocare.com/porcabac.html
you most likely need the black (they call it grey) pads and i like to use a lambswool bonnet that i use as backing only for micro fibers. for wax, i apply with the black pad and remove with the microfiber over lambswool. be sure to do very small sections with the p21s and remove it quickly (you are gonna hate this, but my preference is to use two machines- one to app and one to remove... you can just change your pads, but you will be changing a lot... another choice is to apply the wax by machine and remove by hand- still a big improvement over hand only, imo!)
next, a couple ideas:
1. you can either apply the nxt to the car and then buff it on or apply to the pad and buff it on... if you apply to the pad, pat the pad with the machine off on the body a few times to get the product onto the car.
2. always start and stop the machine on the car (dont lift it and turn it on or off)
3. cord over the shoulder
4. with p21s, i take it out of the can and rub the bottom onto the pad (rubber gloves are nice for this).
give it a try and post back any comments or questions-
good luck- you are about to become really addicted to detailing!

Thanx! I'll have to order my pads tomorrow. Do I need the Velcro attachment if I'm getting the 7336? Also I will need a white pad to apply the P21 since it's going as a topper right?

I'm sorry I meant should I get the white pad for the NXT?
nxt has cleaning properties, but its not a polish.
i use the whites with polishes.
i would treat nxt more like a protectant (wax, synthetic) and would use the black (gray) pad.
the white pads have some cutting action which you need with polishes, but not when just waxing.
