Unhappy help with paint and rims.

i just got my s2000 about a week and a half ago, and im trying to get it looking as nice as possible. i was wondering if you guys had any ideas on how to do fix paint chips. as in whats the easiest way to get rid of them, and what to use? or is there somewhere i can get it done for cheap. also, i got a LOT of brake dust on my front ap2 rims, and its really hard to get off. is there anything special to use to take it off easier? or anywhere that i can take it? thanks for your time. i just wanna get my S looking as good as possible.

For paint chips there no easy fix. You can either have the are repainted or try using touch up paint and then wetsanding and buffing, which is a long process and you can make it look worse if you dont have experience with a buffer.

As for your rims I think most would recommend p21 wheel cleaner and letting it sit on there to break up the brake dust. I'd personally take the wheels off the car so you can get them clean on the insides really good. after you get them nice and clean I like to wax my wheel so brake dust doesnt stick to them as easy.

the search option and stickies are your friend. they've been stickied for a reason you know...

also u can just casually scroll through past threads and read what others say, or see what some of the pro's and semi-pro's use to clean various cars. some of the posted detailers have quite a bit of experience, and have worked with many different types of cleaners/auto detailing supply and therefore use what they use for good reason.

look around and read and you'll gain tons of info. i know i have in the past and still continue to learn a lot from all the work these fellas do.
