Default how to apply Rain- x?

I just purchased a bottle of anti-fog rain x for the inside of the car and cant apply it properly. When I apply it on a paper towel, then wipe it on the inside windows, it makes the glass seem very blurry. So I wiped it off somewhat. Now I let it dry over night and there are smudges on the glass. When i wipe it on the first time, is it supposed to look blurry (not blurry, but rather wet from the liquid)? and then let it dry for a while before I become concerned b/c I am very confused as to how this works.

BTW, The bottle says its for the inside of a car but can I apply it to the side mirrors?

Thats what you want....its like wax. Get it blurry, let it set, then buff off. I love Rain X......it really does eliminate the need for wipers.

Paper towels are probably the problem. Try using a microfiber towel to buff off the haze.

Just as how some products still suggest on the label to use 100% cotton towels, most of the time you'll get better results with microfiber. Cotton, and especially microfiber towels, will remove chemicals a lot better than a paper towel ever will, and the knaps will help to keep those chemicals on the towel and away from what you're wiping.

Microfiber towels will work wonders.

Rain-X Anti-fog is now for use on car windows??? I bought some about 10 years ago and it was not recommended for auto glass. I applied it before I read the label and found that when the moisture did condense, it would bead up and run down the glass and leave streaks. Ever since that time I have used the defroster to clear the fog.

It does work great on bathroom mirrors.

fogging problems? Just turn on the AC + heat and presto clear windows.

Keeping the inside of your windows clean also goes a long way toward preventing fog.
