How can remove adhesive from back window?
How can **I** remove adhesive, I should say......I've finally got my Plexus and am ready to clean the inside of the plastic rear window for the first time. I bought the car used and the stupid dealer had the buyer's guide stuck to the plastic window.
What should I use to get the adhesive off? I know 3M adhesive remover or Goo Be Gone would take it off, but I don't want to eat a hole through the thing.

the 3m adhesive remover or goo be gone should do the trick... i cant remember if there are any instructions on those that say not to use on plastic- read the labels, and if not mentioned, then you should be o.k. with either. if they dont work on plastic, meguiars makes a couple of products that might (plastic cleaner and plastic polish).
The Goo-Gone will do the trick, but test it first on a small area, as this stuff can dull some plastics. If all is well, then use it and immediately clean it off with a non- abrasive cleaner; don't wanna scratch the surface.
I'm gonna test a small spot down in the corner with the Goo be Gone. Just wanted to make sure there were no horror stories about using solvents on the plastic window. Thanks for the help guys.
I have Goof Off and it WILL eat plastics quite handily. I'm not familiar with Goo B Gone, but read the label very carefully before using. I have removed adhesive from my plastic rear window with the product that you just bought....Plexus, and it works pretty good.
I wouldn't use any type of solvent other than isopropyl alchohol and even that will tend to dry out whatever you clean with it.
Try the Plexus first. Spray it directly on the window and let it set for a bit if it doesn't remove it right away. DO NOT use a paper towel on the plastic window. I like to use microfiber towels exclusively on the plastic window.
Good luck,
Bob

Why take a chance damaging the plastic? I suggest you take it back to the dealer. If they damage it, you can get an upgrade to glass. If they do a good job, at least they may learn not to do it to other cars.

Plexus was made to clean and polish plastic and it's just about the best product that you can use on the window. The citrus cleaner should also work. I had adhesive junk on my plastic window from some velcro strips and Plexus removed it easily and made the window look great in the process.
Take it to the dealer if you want to, but the dealer only gets my car for TSB's and warranty repairs. This is neither, but then I like to do all of my work on my cars and have the tools to do that.
BTW, this was a five minute cleanup job.
