how do i get rid of these marks?

Default how do i get rid of these marks?

i tried water and it didnt work, i dont want to make it worse. i guess the previous owner used a bad chemical or something.

any ideas?

Worst case scenario, just replace it. The marketplace has these up for sale all the time and it takes 10 minutes to replace.

Or you could mess with this one... Paint it or something then buy another as well.

I suspect the OEM plug cover is anodiized, cleaning probably won't work. Think of it as an opportunity to customize it, maybe match to your body color???

I like the painting idea. What kind of paint do I use that won't chip or look like crap?

auto paint should be fine but if you were to repaint the value cover high heat is recommended.

get some cd2 engine shine, a nice coat should even out the blotchiness
