How do you maintain the rag top?
Another ragtop question...
I have an '04 and by the glass rear window, there seems to be the "fuzzy" side of vel-cro tape that seems to aide in when the top is put down. Namely the vel-cro slides along the exterior glass edge to keep from the window fitments scraping the glass. Well one piece has completely fallen off and looks only to be glued in place.
Question is this: Has this happened to anyone else before and if so and recc's on fixing it besides the obvious glue and hold procedure?
Maybe this is the wrong forum to ask?

ok help me with this than does it feel and look like cloth, because I have an 01 and I know the guy put a new one with glass so I am almost 100% sure that it is factory top he put on.
Since your top is not the one that came on the car, it's entirely possible that the previous owner did replace it with a cloth one as there are upgraded replacement tops available made out of cloth.
If you look at where the frame pushes the top when it's up, you will see how shiny it is, something that doesn't show with Cloth.
303 Aerospace Protectant.
Just be careful not to get it on anything you don't want it on. I have gotten some on plastic trim and had it spot similar to water spotting. It may not be an issue if you get it before it dries.
