Default How do you remove light scratches

I have a few light scraches on my dashboard from my finger nails. How do you go about removing the scratches from the dashboard?

Is it just me or does the dashboard in our S2000 scratch real easily? I had an Integra for 12 years and that dashboard was flawless in the end...

There's probably not much you can do.

What part of the dash are we talking about? The hard plastic to either side of the gauge cluster? The gauge cluster itself? The trim down by the shifter and the radio door?

The gauge cluster, in particular, is incredibly easy to put hairline scratches into. Mine has them all over, I suspect from the previous owner wiping it down with a paper towel or some such thing.

If it's the dark plastic you're talking about, there's really nothing you can do but hide it with some dash protectant (such as 303).

Some pics of the area scratched would help.

You can try this:
http://www.autowerkesexclusive.com/product...-Pad/index.html

in conjunction with this:
http://www.detailersdomain.com/1zeinszett-...k-reiniger.aspx

These products will both be safe for the dash. Not much else you can do, especially if you don't want to make it any worse.

Depending on how bad your scratches are, there are companies/mobile people that do dash repair. I had gouged my dash and had someone come out and repair it.

After filling the hole they use some type of vinly spray paint to blend and it looks like the rest of the dash. It cost be about 70 bucks to have mine done. I'm in arizona but I sure there are companies in every state.
