Thumbs up Interesting Product

I saw a commercial for this on tv the other morning (I know, I know). Looks like it might be a good drying towel maybe? Things holds a lot of liquid, and picks it up pretty quick. Thoughts anyone?

FAKE!

watch the part with teh carpet.
in teh beginning when he soaks the carpet, its pouring out the sides. but when they go to use the shamwow and soak up the liquid, there is no liquid coming out the sides, and it isnt soaked through.

i love finding problems in those cheap scams, haha

Buddy of mine bought 3 of them. 1 for his dog, other for his car and home. It leaves lint EVERYWHERE. It sheds more than my freaking cat in the summer. Feel so damn cheap it's ridiculous, almost as if its just a piece of thin carpet.

Did I mention it absorbed NO WHATER what so ever. We went from washing the car, to drying the car with sham wow. Stopped after the hood was with lint we couldn't remove and had to rewash the whole car. DO NOT GET IT

"This is made in Germany. We all know Germans make great stuff"

If I could I would smack that guy.

After trial and error I will never stop using Waffle towels. They spank Chamois products, more friendly to use and easier to clean. Microfiber towels streak, cotton works OKAY but leaves lint, some can scratch. As wanabe said stick to waffle *Big Blue* towels for drying your car.

Just a heads up, many chamois products might not work very well on the first few uses. We used them at work (not sure which type/brand), and the older, broken in ones always worked much better than our new ones. Always got better with age, became more pliable. I never experienced any leaving behind lint or such though.

EDIT: I try to stay away from microfiber because they do lose fibers when you dry stuff with them. Not much of a problem though if you blow the car off with air or dust it.

my MF doesn't leave things around anywhere. I think you need higher quality MF or take better care of your existing ones
