keeping tire sidewalls looking black and shiny
I just got some new tires, and they are already starting to look a little grey and faded.
How do I keep the side walls looking jet black and clean and new looking?
I asked a guy at the goodyear tire store, he said stay away from armour all products.

Try this site. www.properautocare.com They have some really good products and info. I use Meguiar's.
Meguiars Tire Gel works great! It literally last for weeks instead of days. Most of the cheap stuff comes off after a few days, but I can go weeks with this stuff. Also, it's super-easy to apply.
Hope that helps.

Black magic in an aerosol can...spray onto eagle 1 tire shine applicator, and wipe on tire....one coat for black, 2-3 for high gloss, doesnt sling off either. Just be sure to wipe down the rims after finishing.....that stuff attracts brake dust like no other!
I think Meguiar's Endurance is the way to go. I've only used one application in 6 months. My son, on the other hand, likes to apply the stuff to his Civic SI almost every washing.
He thinks I should do the same. I rarely listen to his advice, but last October he did convince me not to delay any longer in buying an S2000.
Now I wonder why he did that?
