Default Leatherique?

Hey guys,
I just purchased an '04 S2K with the red/black interior, and there are a couple small spots/stains on the red leather. I used Leatherique prestine clean and conditioner on my M3, and its an amazing product. I was just wondering if anyone had used Leatherique on S2K leather (possibly even the red color) and if it was safe, any suggestions for application - etc.
Thanks in advance guys. Peace.

From my experience in dealing with their product line, it really doesn't look like they know too much about leather care at all.

Now that I think about it...that cleaner probably worked so well on your M3 because the pH was so darn high that it would just about eat right through your leather if you gave it enough time.

Along with Townsends, what would be some good alternative products? Is there any harm in using Meguires leather product (it's a cleaner/conditioner, don't remember the exact name).

thanks,
Dave

dave- imo, you want separate cleaner and conditioner...
leather needs to be cleaned before it can really be conditioned. hard to do that with one product. the leather will look fine with the combo products for a few years, but could eventually begin to fade or fail after some time if not properly conditioned.
my second choice to townsends is lexol (again, separate cleaner and conditioner).

Thanks for the info guys - its amazing, over on the M3 forum people were singing the praises of this product - people had been using it on their M3's for several years, with no damage over the long term. I was going to use their product today - but maybe I'll wait until I hear some more feedback. Thanks again guys.

part of the reason that the product would work better on an m3 than on an s2000 is the top- ours is not always on!!

(so our interior takes the beating that the m3 exterior takes)

Well I am willing to buy any highly recommended leather care products - my problem is that there are some black "spots" on the door panels and some on the seats on the red leather - I would love to purchase a product that has removed these for other S2K owner's. Any help guys? Thanks for all the input.
