Default Less Brake Dust

I read in an archived post in another forum that the AP1 pads generate less dust than AP2 but perform the same and intercangeable with AP2.

Has anyone AP2 owner tried this out? Is there really less dust?

i do not know for sure whether you can put 1's on a 2 or not, but do know that the 2s do dust more...
i remember when they came out - this was a common complaint that we dealt with.

The AP1 and AP2 pads are the same size and I've read MANY threads about AP2 guys using AP1 pads for less brake dust.

They are interchangable. Less dust with AP1 pads. Aftermarket performance pads create more dust.

This is a product you can use to help keep the dust down on your wheels, and make subsequent cleanings a bit easier:

Thanks for recommendation on the wheel wax. I've used
'Wheel Shield" but did not notice much difference.

i gave my friend a pot of wheel wax. he said it considerably reduces the amount of dust that sticks. bmw pads are really really dusty but he can get maybe 2 days more of clean wheel which is like 100% improvement for us hahaha
