Default Looking RICH!

Hi guys, first time poster, long time ignorer.

I confess I'm not really into the whole 'wash your car' thing. I spend too much time under the bonnet.

But I have now got to the point where it's running well but looking a tad shabby. I've been running a bit rich recently so have some sooty build up around the exhaust pipe that seems somewhat stubborn to usual cleaning detergents and stuff.

Can someone advise me on the automotive equivalent of anal bleaching?

Cleaner, Cleaner wax. Give that a try first. If not you can try light compound or polish.

I assume you have tried washing.

A few things to try in order.
1. Bug B Gone - this is a bug a tar removed - I had a similar issue several years ago - or you can jump to step 2.

2. Clay - you can clay the area this may remove.

3. Polish - this would be your last final option to remove it.
