Default MANY SCRATCHES! HELP!

bad news. my mistake mostly. after parking my car in the parkinglot for about 30 minutes, i find out a bird has decided to pooo on my hood. i found big spots of poo (about 4 inches wide each) and 5 of them. must have been a pretty big bird. i quickly wiped them off with water and a cloth, which was the only thing i could find, worried that the acid in the dropping might damage the paint. however my cloth left long lines of hairline scratches. i think i did more harm then good. i also have a berlina black s2000 =(.

i have searched and this is what i came up with.

i will first wash and claybar my car. then use the porter cable 7336sp and with the 3M fine cut compound on the yellow pad to buff off all the hairline scratches. then i will use the 3m swirl remover for dark colors to polish the car away. then i use a wax to finish it off. would this process fix the scratches or am i leaving out any products or procedures?

urgent reply would be greatly appreciated. i baby my car so much and it hurts to know my car is scratched all over

thanks in advance
shawn

i am impressed shawn-

you got it!!

btw, have you ever polished before? if not, its not like anything else you have ever done before... you gotta really work the stuff. but the results should be a new finish!

how bout some before and after pics when you do this?

you can get 303 at West Marine or your local boat/marine store.
