Thumbs up Matte black s2k

I just have a quik question. Im about to drop off my car to get it painted matte blk with satin finish. Would it be easy to keep clean ? or would it be a pain?
I've heard many different answers ie. no because i will be able to see everything from dust to fingerprints, and yes since its a rough surface so its easy to maintain.
please help me out guys. Its making me pretty nervous.

Thank you all in advance

Desmond,

I think getting a matte black finish on your car is a BAD idea and I'm not just saying this because it's not my taste.

I say this because there is currently no way to protect and maintain the matte finish without making it more shiny. If you polish the paint to remove a scratch it will shine more and if you wax or seal the paint to protect it from the elements it will shine more. However, if you don't polish it then you have no way of removing scratches and if you don't wax/seal the paint your only choice is to leave the car alone (aside from washing it of course) until the paint falls off from clear coat failure.

So my point in a nutshell is that there is currently no way to maintain these finishes except to constantly repaint every time you have an issue.

Mothers back to black says you can use there polish on flat black paint. I did it on my hood the was paint flat matte black and it came to back to how it first look. But try it first on a little spot to see how it come's out.

Also, as was recently discussed completely re-painting your car destroys it's re-sale value (yes even in a private sale).

Yeah but it's a trivial matter.
