Default Meguiar's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner?

I know they have Meguiar's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner as separate bottles, but I didn't see them at any of the stores I went to, they just had Meguiar's Rich Leather Cleaner/COnditioner in one bottle, do you think it will work the same as when you apply cleaner then conditioner to the seats or not??? Need some opinions or any recommendations on other products instead, thanks...

my first choices would be the townsend cleaner and separate preservative... second choice would be the lexol twins.
best to use separate products- using two together is kinda like using wax in the shampoo...
o.k. for the beater, but not for the car that you care about!

I can't believe this.... I litterally just finished doing my seats with the spray bottle. Agrrhhhh!!!!

Hear is my impression;
-shiny wet looking seats, but not evenly spread.
-should have used something else.

What should I use to spread the product. I am going to the parts shop to get the right stuff.

I have only had my car two weeks but I want to do it right from the start.

Is it ok to go over what I have done with the correct stuff?

What should I use on the dash and plastic parts?

Thanks in advance for any info.

They have applicators at the stores, like Advanced Auto Parts, PepBoys, just to name a few places. I think a flannel type of cloth would do the job also...

I've heard Vinelyx (made by Lexol) is a good product, but anyone know whether or not Meguiar's NXT vinyl, rubber, or plastic protectant is good or not??

bigal1- yup, you can correct what you did by just using a cleaner that you want to use...
it should clean off most of the product that you just put on.
agree with a2daz- vinylex is one of my fav products for vinyl... i also like 303.

As wanabe and I have said over and over again and again, stick with those who know leather...

Townsend Leather and The Leather Institute

Your seats will not get that cheap vinyl look from any of these products!!! It will also get off the improper products before they can do damage.

Shiny seats = silicone in most cases = softening of the leather finish = premature wear = refinishing of your leather or replacement way before it should be

ive seen some crappy results after using meguires leather conditioner and cleaner in one bottle. Ive noticed that there are red stains on my white cloth after wiping down my red leather. THIS PRODUCT SUCKS. DONT BUY.
