i just recently used the NXT on my civic and found that it was a pain in the ass to get the stuff off..are u guys doing a section at at time or waxing the whole car in one shot letting it set in and then wiping off?? also does using a micro fiber towel really make that big a difference when removing wax..and does it really dry the car better when your done washing the car overall? cuz i'm still using terry cloth for drying my car and some bullshit wax towels for wax removal but they really suck...
another quick question: whenever i use lets say quik detailer or mothers showtime its leaves behind a spotty residue thats hard to get off also anyone else go through this? if so how do u take care of it?
I gave NXT away and switched to Wolfgang! Better Shine, easier application, comparable or better durability than NXT
It has been so long since I removed wax with a terry owel, I can not tell you if mf towels make it easier. NXT was stilll tougher to get off then wolfgang or Poorboys EX-P
One thing you need to remember ... Use Very thin coats ... the thicker the coat the more difficult it is.
As for drying, the trend seems to be the waffle weave MF towel. Normal MFs are not good for drying. I still use the absorber for drying; I tried the waffle weave but went back to the absorber on use the WW MF as a final wipe.
If your QD is leaving a spotty residue you may be using it wrong. QD's should be sprayed on and wiped off completely before they dry. Residue usally means the th QD dried before it was removed.

petraidm gave you a complete answer so i am just going to comment on the qd removal-
as he indicated, if you dont remove it before it dries it can spot. if this happens, just spray some more over it and buff it out. make sure that you are doing only small areas at a time- about 2' x 2'...
Microfiber towels (the larger size) work great for drying your car after washing. I used one yesterday and was impressed that one towel pretty much dried my entire car. I used another one for "touch ups."
I have NXT, but I haven't had a chance to put it on yet. So I can't comment on that at this time. I believe you should do one section at a time and keep the layer of wax very thin...otherwise, you will have problems getting it off. I'd recommend using a microfiber towel for wax removal as well, unless you want to buy that fancy smancy blue thingy ma-jiggy!
Yes, Quick detailer can leave a spotty residue. You have to apply it thinly and wipe it in quickly! One small section at a time.
I now use Meguiars NXT wash followed by NXT wax and the use their quick detailer between washes. I can't find anything better for the money or ease of purchase in my 35 years of driving

I am not disagreeing with you since everyone has thier favorites but I do have follow-up questions / comments:
1) Which QD are you talking about?
2) I have not experienced the ease of purchase; NXT wash is not available here locally (or at least I haven't found it) and NXT Wax is available but only in some stores. In other words, Walmart here does not carry it yet.
3) For the money, I find Wolfgang and EX-P easier, longer lasting, and slicker than NXT.
BTW your car looks great and you can't argue with success!!
Wal-Mart,Target, and Meijers all have it on the shelf and as far as the NXT wash I had to go to the Good Guy's Nationals in Columbus,Ohio to buy it from the Meguiar's display truck that was one of the vendors there.
The guy in the display said they can't make the stuff fast enough and the inital order was sent to the west coast first last winter.
I used to use Mothers, but have tried all the other mass merchandisers and the NXT for me is the best so far. for the $$
I have tried multiple waxes, but NXT for me has been the easiet to use and I get the best results--even from one coat. Not to change the subject, but what kind of polish do ya'll use? I need something non-abrasive--the crap I use leaves a residue and is a pain in the butt to get off.

With your NXT try spraying 1.5 sprays of quick detailer on your applicator. That will help you apply a much thinner coat of product which will help with removal. Keep in mind that after you nuch NXT off it's essentially invisible. Therefore, don;'t think that you really have to see it when it dries for it to be working. The goal here should be a very thin, even coat of product.
Microfiber helps tremendously for product removal. NXT is very easy to apply and remove from my experience (maybe 45 applications now). In partial sun I've had some streakiness, but quick detailer (Meguiar's maroon) took care of that problem with minimal effort. So yes, try it again with thin coats and good quality MF towels (try http://www.sportscarcare.com for great prices on high quality towels).

Many polishes work well. It comes down to your preferences. Two that I really love are 3M Swirl Mark Remover and Mezerna's polishes. The 3M polish in particular is pretty fool proof and very easy to apply and remove by hand. The 3M polish is $10 at most auto parts stores and is widely stocked.
EDIT: whoops, those are both abrasive. For non-abrasive I've only found one that I like but I give it a 10/10: PS21 Paintwork Cleanser. It's the cleaning component to the superb PS21 carnauba which has no cleaning properties itself. Works like a charm. I've never seen any other chemical bring out so much fleck in a car's paint. This stuff amazes me every time I use it. http://www.sportscarcare.com/scc/pro...ItemID=p21-pcl
