Default Meguiar's Scratch-X

I bought a tube of Scratch-X last fall with the intention of using it to spot polish scratches. Well it seems whenever I come across a scratch it's always way too deep for Scratch-X to handle. Alternatively, the scratches are all over the car (ex. cob webs) and I'm not about to put 3-4 treatments of Scratch-X on an entire car. I think my arm would fall off after the second application. So needless to say my tube of Scratch-X sat on the shelf for a number of months.

Recently, I read a post on Autopia from Scottwax stating that he uses Scratch-X to polish out scratches underneath door handles. These scratches are especially common on women's cars from their typically longer finger nails. So, I gave it a whirl on my mother's car since I was detailing it anyway. All I can say is WOW! This is the perfect use for Scratch-X. The scratches are very light and even if there are a lot of them the product takes them right out. I wish I had some pictures to show, but I didn't have my camera with me at the time. All I can tell you is that the difference was amazing.

Good post!

I have a Berlina S, and my little dog likes to stand up on the passenger seat to peer over the door when the window is down. I found out that the scratches that her nails make on the top of the exterior door panel disappear easily with a couple of applications of Meguiar's Scratch-X. I have to use it often, though, because she doesn't acknowledge my efforts.

Pics? I was thinking about getting some of those whitening strips, but I already have a tube of ScratchX laying around somewhere......

I had good results using it on the plastic window.
