Default meguires nxt

Ive been useing meguires nxt wax. I was wondering if there would be any benefit of toping it with a thin coat of meguires pure carnuba wax. The idea would be to add glaze or depth to the overall wax job. Just wondering if anyone has any experience. Im afraid if I do this I will only take off the nxt. thanks for the advice.

yes, you can use a good carnuba over nxt...
just not under it!

it will help the nxt last a bit longer (nxt's main weakness is that it doesnt last very long) and will give it a bit more depth and dust repellancy.

post up pics when you do this... and then pm me for your shiny badge to go along with your shiny car!!

I second the fact that NXT doesn't last as long as other synthetics.

nxt is great off the shelf stuff, but the longevity of the wax isn't all that great. i've tried putting the carnauba wax over once, and it's been 3 months and water still does bead off quite well.
