I have pad cleaner but I find dishwashing soap works the best for me. Before some of you raise a fit I have a few pads older than many of you have been detailing.

Dreft - baby clothes detergent.

Woolite - delicate clothes detergent.

I usually put a cup of vinegar in with my wash too.
I do the same thing with vinegar, but use a different detergent

do you use vinegar with an mf soap???

i have used it with non-mf soaps, but never with an mf soap, cause i figured that the purpose of the mf soap was to balance the ph .... which is what vinegar tries to do with non-mf soaps

vinegar has been shown to have a bleaching effect of towels and clothes also deteriorates them faster.

I use CG's MF wash, most MF washes are the same so go for the cheap stuff.

You can also boil your MFs to get the wax and residue out of them, but be careful since some of the MFs have a synthetic in them that can melt.

I just got some Micro-Restore. Prior to that I was using Pinnacle MF detergent and before that I was using the Sonus.

So far I rank them like this . . .

1. Micro-Restore
2. Pinnacle
3. Sonus

I found the Pinnacle got the towels a little cleaner than the Sonus. Using the Micro-Restore the towels seemed to come out brighter and fluffier than with the Pinnacle.

I was using vinegar with my MF detergent for a while. I started to notice my WW towels were not terribly absorbent anymore though. At one point, I ran out of vinegar and stopped using it. Now, my WW towels seem to be absorbing much better.

I personally dislike Pinnacle MF restorer, especially at its price.

I would recommend the Cobra version from AG, but I really think its the same thing as the CG one.

Again, price is the deciding factor for me.

I actually threw away my Pinnacle MF restore, I got it as a bonus when I placed an order there.

AG is awesome!
