Default My sprayer is asking..

My S is in at the sprayer's, just about to get some paint jobs!

And hee asked me if I know what Honda original paint brand use!

Does anyone out there have any idea, or clue what is the original brand?

Thanks!

actually i would be surpised if we could get that info...
you are asking who honda's supplier is-
i dont think that they usually give that info out, but maybe someone on the board knows.
this might be a good question for the main forum where you might find someone who works for honda and who might be willing to share (again i would be surprised if they would share that info)

Most likely you won't know what brand they used. I'm not sure that would even help. Paint changes colors as it fades and ages. Paint colors can also appear differently simply with the processes used to do the painting. PPG, Dupont, Glasurit, Sherwin Williams and a few others all make paint for this car. You need someone that can mix and match paint and be willing to do some experimenting with differing formulas if you want it perfect. There are variants to many of our S2000 colors. Spa yellow has at least 3 variants with differing amounts of toners/tints with Glasurit and that's just a starting point. That's why I hesitate to repaint my front end.

play with this and you'll see http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/new-color-on....php?language=1

I understand what you are saying, but felt like giving it a shot, anyway, just in case!

I guess my sprayer reckoned that he will have more chance of matching the Silverstome color if he uses the same brand!

Anyway, he is going to do some color matching samples tomorrow and than we go from there!
