Default Are my wheels beyond help?

I got my car not long ago (about 8 weeks) and have a problem with one of the wheels. I have taken a couple of quick pics to try to show the issue.

Basically, they look tarnished, like it is really ground in there, so much so, that it may be taking the clear coat away??

As you can see they are Volk Le-37's, and I am just asking to see if there is anything I can do for them, apart from getting them refinished??

Thanks in advance

Volks have a clear anodization on the lip. The only thing you can do is to have them redone. They will strip that anozidation, re-polish and then use a traditional clear coat to protect them.

welcome to the car and to our board!!

it looks like clear coat peeling... and agree with ubetit that it appears that they need to be recleared.

after, be sure to protect them and keep them clean

is it a fairly easy job to do??

ie, wetsand, clean, clear etc etc?

Or should I just get the whole wheel redone?

Thx

You need polishes and a buffing wheel.
