are you sure they are halograms?
sip should be followed up by a less aggressive polish-
a good choice is this one:
http://www.detailersdomain.com/menzernafin...nishpo85rd.aspx
on a mild cut pad...

you might be seeing "polish haze" which is normal for a more aggressive polish.

Well, Holograms could occur even with SIP if you apply too much or move too quickly. That's what I'm guessing.

no- not too long...
might not be long enough- you polish until dust then inspect. are you polishing in lines or in circular motions?

You shouldn't need to go higher than 5 on the PC.
which pad are you using? Also, moving the polisher too fast can add to the problem.

After you are done with the sip, are you doing a good wipedown?
If so, you are still going to need to follow up with the final polish and a less agressive pad anyways.

either- alcohol will remove any oils in the polish...
i think you can just use a good micro fiber - shake often (thats what i do)

wipe down best if not circular (btw your polish method above looks fine- not leaning on the machine i assume?)

did you "condition" your pads before you began? shouldnt be a big deal- i use a pad conditioner (its a spray), but just about any moisture on a dry pad is fine when you start. for years i did not condition my pads, so its no big deal if you dont... back in the good old days we didnt worry about pad conditioning!
