Thumbs up need a tool for around the wheels

Hey,

I don't spend that much time caring for my car, but I want to get all that caked dirt out from the areas around the wheels (where the tires spray). I live on a mile of dirt road, so it gets bad when it rains.

I don't have much power at all on the water hose I use, and it is tough, if not impossible, for me to get my hand back there with a rag. Anyone got a tool/cleaning chemical to recommend?

I just bought a fender liner brush from Detailers Domain (the sponsor for this forum) but havent had a chance to use it. It seems like it will work VERY well though.
I'll be trying it this weekend since the weather is supposed to be nice.

see my wheel cleaning thread- it recommends that you pull the wheels off of the car to get to the wheel wells... a brush and some good cleaners should do the job- i would try to stay non-acidic if possible, but if non-acidic isnt getting it all, then acid based cleaners can be used if you make sure to do one area at a time and keep it wet. by far, my preference is non-acid, and i have found very few situations where i had to go acid.

I myself just use a long handle wheel brush to clean behind the wheel and a grout sponge on the lip on the fender.

I use the Mother's Fender Well brush for that and some car wash soap.

And the EZ detail brush.
