Default Nice day for detailing

As some of you may know, my girlfriend picked up a Berlina AP1 a couple of months ago. The paint was in pretty bad shape when she got it--it had obviously never been clayed/polished before and had some very heavy swirl marks and hologramming all over it.

Due to my busy schedule lately, I've only had time to do mini-details on her car here and there--I haven't really done a complete swirl removal on her car since she bought it. Anyways, it was nice out today and I had some free time, so I decided to put my rotary skills to the test! Here are the results... (I apologize for my crappy pics, my camera doesn't do these pictures justice )

No more swirls/holograms!

Liquid Berlina...

Process:
-Wash
-Clay
-50/50 mix of HTEC/OP via LC orange pad and rotary at 1400rpms
-Menzerna FPII via LC finishing pad and rotary at 1100rpms
-PC at speed 6 on the bumpers and other hard to reach areas
-Topped with Menzerna FMJ
-Vinylex on wheel wells, softtop, and all other exterior plastic
-Tires dressed with Poorboy's Bold n' Bright

Nice pics, it looks like the lighting is what is making the top look grey.

The top itself is actually pretty faded--the car is an '02 with ~50k miles, and from what I can tell, it looks like it's sat outside for most of its life without anything to protect it!

303 or ragtopp may bring it back. Have you tried it?

Yup... I use Vinylex (same as 303 basically) and it only works temporarily. I think dyeing the top is the only way to get back to its original color...
