I need to know what P21S products i need to buy when i go to my local Harley dealer soon. The sales person said he recommends S100 on motorcycles, but i thought i would ask you guys. also, anyone know anything about Harley brand polish?

Thanks,

I don't know anything about Harley polishes, but most people believe that P21S and S100 are the same thing.

yup- p21s and s100 are pretty much the same...
but dont know what "harley brand polish" he is talking about- they usually sell s100.
my recollection is that properautocare has good info on this-
will track it down and post back

well, guess i blew this one!
anyway, here is good info- just not what i was lookin for:

http://properautocare.com/inwis1stgay.html

our member chip weighs in on the p21s vs. s100 debate:
https://www.sportscarcare.com/scc/faqs/p21svss100.asp
if he is right, you would want p21s on your car and s100 on your bike-
several guys have posted that they use s100 on their cars and are completely satisfied with it...
p21s is on all of my cars (and some have synthetics under the p21s and some have only p21s)- imo its a great wax and also a great topper.

I have heard S100 and P21S are the same... that said, I just buy P21S from properautocare.com

I have been using it for years now and it is a great wax for an enthusiast who doesnt mind waxing once a month or two.

p21s makes several (great) products, but only one wax-
they do not make a synthetic

is there any other wax you would suggest without ordering? how much would a can of P21S usually cost? (the sales guy told me how much s100 is just checking to see if its the same)

S100 typically sells for $15-$16 where as P21S sells for ~$30.

It's hard to find a lot of the "boutique" products locally. If you fill in your location in your profile I could maybe direct you to a local place to buy "boutique" detailing products.

You should be able to put in your location on the "edit profile" area of the MyS2K page. It looks like there are a few places you can put your city/state info. I would populate all of the fields.

Back on topic . . . I'm not aware of any detailing supply houses in Alabama. You might want to check your yellow pages for a paint & body shop supply store. A lot of those stores carry detailing products that you wouldn't find at your local auto parts store. Most of what I would consider "the good stuff" is only available on-line though. A lot of detailing companies are based in CA and FL. So, the lucky stiffs who live in these states can usually pick up their supplies instead of having them shipped. The only detailing companies I'm aware of outside of CA and FL are Poorboy's which is located in NY and Zymol which is in CT. Zaino might be based elsewhere too, but I don't use their products so I couldn't say.
